Note how several of the boys have gold braiding around the edges of the lapels on their blazers.
This photograph was featured in the In Touch section of the Manchester Evening News in February 1992, having been sent in by old boy Peter Garvey (seated, 5th from left) from his home in Ontario, Canada. On discovering the picture under a pile of junk, he said: “I asked myself, what became of the fine collection of lads leering out at me?” So, he wrote to In Touch and sent in this copy. “Maybe some of them would like to write – most of us could in form 3A.”
